Benjamin R. Moore

Photographic Artist

I am a native of the Capital Region of New York. Born in Albany in 1963, I am the youngest of 12 children. My love for photography began in high school with a basic photography class. I later combined my love for photography with my passion for the outdoors, and studied photographic techniques while working at a camera shop with other photographers.

My landscape photos caught the attention of Dr. Ward Stone, the Wildlife Pathologist for the Department of Environmental Conservation in Delmar, who eventually hired me to work on an exhibit project regarding diseases, pollution, and legal cases involving New York State Wildlife. After three years with the State, I left the position to attend the Hallmark Institute of Photography in Turners Falls, Massachusetts and graduated in 1997. With the skills learned at Hallmark, I developed my abilities in many aspects of photography, and began working full time as a professional photographer.

I thank you for taking time out to view my images on this website. I hope my photos give you a deeper sense of appreciation for the beauty that surrounds us here in the Great Northeast, and beyond. It's a beautiful world... take time out to take it in.
